Now All the Stars of The Big Bang Theory Have Contracts

As we mentioned on Monday, while Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and Kaley Cuoco all signed monster contract in the range of $90 million over the next three years, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nuyyar remained resolutely contract-less. With the first table read of the season scheduled for today (after a week-long delay while the main trio’s contracts could be worked out), it was assumed that Helberg and Nuyyar’s deals were just a matter of time.

And that assumption turned out to be correct. The Hollywood Reporter is citing sources that claim that the two actors negotiated together and were rewarded with about 80% of the three main stars’ salaries (thought to be $1 million per episode, plus incentives). That means they went from earning $100,000 per episode to roughly $800,000. We’d say that’s worth holding out for. Reportedly, they’ll also earn the same ownership as their slightly richer co-workers, which is an estimated 1.25 percent. That translates into a lot of syndication money.

Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch negotiated their deals back in September and are making a now-seemingly-measly $100,000 per episode (up from $30,000). Sure, they’ve only been regulars on the show since the fourth season, but you have to wonder if they’re not wishing they would’ve held out for a bit more. Still, they can rest secure knowing that they shouldn’t have to pick up a cheque ever again when the whole cast goes out for dinner together, which we’re sure happens all the time.

The eighth season of The Big Bang Theory premieres on September 22 on CBS.
